R Systems International Assessed at SEI-CMM Level 5
Noida. - June 30, 2003 - R Systems International Limited, a global information technology services and solutions provider, announced today that it's Noida outsourcing center been assessed at Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Level 5. Only 53 other India based companies are assessed at CMM Level 5 and less than 100 companies worldwide hold this level of maturity*. A Level 5 assessment essentially represents the top 2 percent of software development organizations in the world.
The Capability Maturity Model for Software describes the principles and practices underlying software process maturity and is intended to help software organizations improve the maturity of their software processes in terms of an evolutionary path from ad hoc processes to mature, disciplined software processes. The CMM model, developed by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, emphasizes Quality and overall solution planning to customers.
